Beloit College Mindset List →

The goal of this list is to “provide a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college this fall.”

While I think the concept, “to remind the faculty to be aware of dated references,” is a great tool for connecting with younger generations, I feel that the list is presented in an opposite way of its intentions, projecting the new college students as out-of-touch with history, instead of projecting the professors as out-of-touch with the present.
