Past's Present: The Pacific →
Watching The Pacific made me realize that I need to talk more with my grandfather — who served as a Navy Commander in the Pacific Theater — about his time during the War.
Growing up, I was the middle grandchild; four of my cousins were younger, and four older than me. There is a 12 year difference between the oldest and youngest.
War isn’t something to talk about as a family with so many kids around, so we never really had the chance. Now that we’re all older, all over 18, I think it’s time we all sat down and learned about his experiences.
